APICS 6 Packed Supply Chain Conference

The 6 Packed Conferences provides individuals with the opportunity to see industry leaders and supply chain experts present best practices and practical solutions to business problems. The popularity of the conference continues to grow each year due to the recommendations from attendees, the quality of the speakers and its outstanding value. The idea of the conference was conceived and developed by Chet Frame. The first conference was put on by Region 6 staff during Dr. Robert Vokurka's tenure as Region 6 VP (now APICS Chair of the Board). Our objective is to put on a very affordable conference that is ("6") packed with great speakers. The conference is put on and run entirely by VOLUNTEERS. Neither the organizers nor the speakers get paid. I am sure you probably have met or talked with Karen Mixon-Dowdy and Cheri Freedman who make this all come together. There are many others behind the scenes. Most two-day conference charge two to three times what we charge. We are determined to keep the cost lost and the value high. We are truly thankful for the time and effort our speakers and volunteers put in. Proceeds from the conference help fund Terra Grande District and chapter development activities.

APICS Terra Grande District

Previously called Region 6 is APICS largest district. Beginning in 2008, APICS replaced its regional structure with a district structure. The region/district is comprised of 28 chapters located in the Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Mexico.
